On Thursday, August 19th, 2010, a fundraiser Radiothon was held on Red FM. Starting at 6am, Red FM listeners began calling in with donations. Throughout the morning, politicians and various Pakistani guests came to the Red FM Studio to discuss the situation. Donations continued while afternoon programming was dedicated to the devastation in Pakistan. Red FM hosts and Radiothon volunteers continued on into the evening with one common purpose, to reach out to those in need. Finally, around 8pm the Radiothon ended and we are happy and honored to announce that Red FM listeners raised $170,000.00 which will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross for use in the devastated areas of Pakistan.
